were going, she could hardly walk and laying down and getting back up were becoming extremely difficult. It was all she could do to climb the three steps on their back deck. Her breathing had become loud and labored and she had lost control of her bladder. The time had come to take her to the vet.I agreed to meet my sister at the vet's to give her emotional support and then we were going to spend the evening together. Goldie was given her shot and went peacefully to sleep. Val and I decided I would park my car at her daughter's and we would go out together. I got in my car, started it and the radio came on. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, the radio announcer said "and I just want to say, rest in peace, Goldie, rest in peace." I almost freaked!
When I told my sister what had happened, she was shocked. The radio announcer had no way of knowing about Goldie. Val's daughter, her son and her husband were just as disbelieving. My husband accused me of "hearing voices". Later, we tried to call the radio station and find out what the announcer had been talking about but the station office was already closed. It remains a mystery.
